I forgot to buy eggs yesterday, so on my way to the grocery store to pick up a dozen I stopped at the Sonic Drive-In on East Broadway and ordered a cheeseburger for lunch. When I opened the sandwich, however, I discovered it was missing two very important ingredients, the cheese and the meat. I felt like I'd been served a Wish Burger. As the Blues Brothers song, "Rubber Biscuit" goes, you have two pieces of bread and you wish you had some meat. Bow, bow, bow!
I started to ask the server, "Where's the beef?" Instead, I just opened the door and showed them the empty bun, and they promptly brought me another one, this time with meat and cheese.
