Report on the Gulf from Captain Randy
I talked to my friend, Randy, who lives on the gulf coast of Florida just west of Destin. He owns sailboat and says he has been five miles out into the gulf from Destin's East Pass without sighting any oil. Although I have seen media reports of oil on Navarre Beach, Randy said he didn't see any there. He has seen booms being deployed, and booms are now in place at the East Pass. Oil is already in Pensacola Bay. Pensacola is 73 miles west of Seagrove Beach, where we'll be vacationing in a couple of weeks.
