Today is Friday the 13th, a day that we do not consider unlucky in our family inasmuch as Jake and Joey were born on a Friday the 13th. According to an article in the UK's Independent, the origin of the superstition may come from there being thirteen people at the Last Supper and from Christ's Crucifixion being on a Friday.Interestingly, a Google image search brought up nothing except images from the movie franchise. I saw the first couple of movies in the '80's, but have not seen any of the more recent flicks. I don't really enjoy horror movies like I did when I was younger.
