Duel with Old Hickory and Regret It

On June 30, 1806, Andrew Jackson killed Charles Dickinson in a duel in Kentucky (Dueling was illegal in Tennessee.) after Dickinson fired first and hit Jackson in the chest. Dickinson and Jackson had quarreled over a horse race, and worse, Dickinson reportedly insulted Jackson's beloved wife Rachel. Jackson carried the bullet in his chest for the rest of his life.
